Wonderfully written with great pictures! Thank you so much. I will share it and up my game given your excellent suggestions. I would add that I gently share with people how much better I feel being a bit more engaged. I share that just making a short phone call to my representatives always makes me feel better, is super easy, that every call is recorded and does add up. Thank you for creating this community in the challenging time.

Thanks for this. Another tip: Check out whether your city/town has a committee or commission dedicated to voter participation. Mine does, under the auspices of our city clerk. A great way to contribute to your community, stay informed and become an election resource.

Primaries are another method of limiting voter choice. Most proportional systems, used by 95 countries, have (sometimes long) party lists offering fantastic choice and counting methods that retain voter intent. When you misdiagnose the problem, you'll almost always end up with a poor solution. The problem is Single Member Districts, not the Cartel primary process. The solution is any proportional system in Multi Member Districts.
