It Needs to Be Said Interview with Michael Meeropol

Why we should fear racism more today than during the Red Scares of the 1950s

Michael Meeropol, the son of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg who were executed during the red scares, spoke with Susan Wagner on It Needs to Be Said.

Michael, as an economist and an activist, draws many parallels between the 50s and our present situation. It’s interesting to listen to him speak about where the parallel ends and why it is more likely that fascism can take hold in this country now compared to the 1950s. He also shared his opinions about the federal reserve and whether or not it should remain independent.
