Susan is a member of our Editorial Board, a founder of Markers For Democracy and a strong advocate for the grassroots community. She has interacted both with campaigns and with local, state and federal Democratic parties. Susan believes strongly that a healthier working relationship among all these entities is critical to successful campaigns. Her current focus is advocating for the adoption of Grassroots Coordinators for 2026 Congressional campaigns.   

With Substack becoming the home of progressive media, The Grassroots Connector, now with 11,000+ subscribers, is the premier Substack dedicated to the voices of the grassroots. “It Needs To Be Said” will feature activists who volunteer their services in the pro-democracy arena providing the bandwidth that campaigns and local parties so desperately need.
