Postcarding to the Finish Line

Where you can still write, post, and make a difference

Need something to do with your hands, other than wringing them? Join the thousands of volunteers who are writing postcards until the finish line.  If you have postcards on hand, sharpies that still have ink, and stamps, we’ve compiled a list of active postcarding campaigns that still need your help.

Time is short. Please write and mail your cards by October 21. Mailing later could result in them arriving after the election.

• NEVADA - PERRY ROSENSTEIN - Washoe County School Board, Reno, NV
  Perry Rosenstein is running for school board to forge a brighter future for every child in Washoe County, including his two young sons. We are writing to non-partisan voters in Washoe County, the bellwether & only purple county in NV.

• NEW YORK - Elijah Reichlin-Melnick - NY State Senate District 38
  Elijah is running to flip back the seat he narrowly lost in 2022 and protect the supermajority in the NY State Senate. NYS Senate District 38 is nested in NY Congressional District 17 where Mondaire Jones is running. This district also flipped to red in the mid-terms due to low Democratic turnout. We are writing to Dems who skipped voting in the midterms to encourage them to vote. Learn more HERE

• NEW YORK - Ian Phillips - NY State Assembly District 126
  Ian is a common-sense Democrat running to flip NYS Assembly District 126. He knows that for many in Central New York, student debt, high prices, and the lack of good-paying jobs make the American Dream seem like a pipe dream. In the Assembly, Ian will tackle the affordability crisis, work to bring good jobs to Central New York and protect the area’s air and water.  Learn more HERE

• Leslie Mehta is a civil rights attorney, mom, and proud Democrat running to flip Virginia’s 1st Congressional District in East Central Virginia. Campaign website | CD1 Info

• Missy Cotter Smasal is a Navy veteran, former small business owner, adjunct professor and executive director of a nonprofit organization that honors our nation’s servicewomen. [CHECK THIS. • Karen Baker was a trial lawyer with the EEOC, a judge for the Social Security Administration, and later a nurse. She continues to do pro bono work, helping disabled people get disability benefits. She is running in rural CD 9 in Southwest Virginia. Campaign website | CD9 Info

Hopium WINNING THE HOUSE Thursday Join the Hopium Community, Markers for Democracy and Postcards4VA to write for 15 Congressional Candidates in swing Congressional districts. These postcard campaigns are tied to the WINNING THE HOUSE THURSDAY  Zooms with Simon Rosenberg, supporting candidates through donations, phone banking and postcard writing. Register for the final postcard focused event this Thursday (October 17) at 7:15pm ET (4:15pm PT). When you register, you will  automatically be sent 10 addresses for this week’s featured candidate, Tony Vargas (Nebraska CD-02). This will also get you approved to download addresses for any of the 15 target races. If you already write for Markers for Democracy or Postcards4va, you are already approved to download addresses for this program, click here to go to the Winning the House address distribution portal. 

The official mail date for this program is October 18.  However, addresses will remain available for downloading for writers in the candidate’s state until Oct. 25.
