We Are the Grassroots Collaboration Project
We facilitate collaboration between volunteer groups and Democratic campaigns
The Grassroots Connector is not a standalone publication. It’s the voice of the Grassroots Collaboration Project, a group of grassroots leaders who share our knowledge and work together to craft better relationships with the Democratic Party at whatever level we encounter it. In the last few months, we published a grassroots leaders survey on experiences working with the Democratic Party, adopted a mission and established regular meetings for our group.
Mission
The Grassroots Collaboration Project is committed to best in class practices for winning elections. Victories necessitate collaboration among volunteers, field organizers, grassroots groups, and party officials from the most local to the Democratic National Committee staff. We will serve as a coordinating hub for activist leaders who explore, research and develop these strategies for the benefit of our Democracy.
Objectives
Bring grassroots groups together through a directory, Slack workspace and this publication.
Develop working groups where volunteer leaders connect, learn, and collaborate.
Identify opportunities to build better relationships with the Democratic party and improve field tactics
Test solutions and report on the results.
Promote our work through our Substack and via grassroots spokespeople such as Simon Rosenberg, Robert Hubbell, Jessica Craven, David Pepper, and Heather Booth.
If you are a volunteer leader working to protect our democracy and build the strength of the Democratic Party, we invite you to join the Grassroots Collaboration Project.
