We've gone from being invisible to being ridiculed and diminished. I guess all our winning is finally getting noticed and hitting a nerve. Burn ON!

Not burned out? Write an LTE to the NYT using this toolkit provided by the Connecticut-based group ReSisters. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1O7aOqyF04VeCVBVxVgpCxrqTdxiSCeT2/view?usp=sharing

Ha! I wrote them a letter about that ridiculous article, too. They quoted TWO apparel sellers. No one in the actual “resistance.” WTF? Absolutely fantastic job on that LTE, by the way. Glad to know they’re hearing from loads of us.

I'm quite content to be 'hidden in plain sight.' I'm not a grassroots activist for attention, approval or praise. I'm here to preserve democracy by kicking Trump and MAGAs asses! I argue we are better off to take a stealth approach and allow pollsters and opinion leaders to overlook how connected (thanks, Grassroots Connector), collaborative and empowered we are!

And btw - we are just getting started!

Obviously they have never watched a www.FridayPowerLunch.com or read @Jessica Craven

Great response. Also, the headline doesn't really reflect what is written in the article, but we know that many/most people just read headlines and then quote them! And our groups keep the grass going even when it is thin. We know many will be back working this year!

Thank you! I’m am resolved not burnt out!

I was hoping to see a response, thank you for acknowledging all of us ... WE have been working, and WE will not give up.

Thank you!!! We have to call out this idiocy in the media! Thank you for taking the time to do that. It would be great to circulate your letter and get thousands of signatures from grassroots volunteers all over the country.

THANK YOU FOR CONTACTING THE NYT ON BEHALF OF SO MANY OF US. “BURNED OUT?” WE ARE JUST GETTING STARTED!

I read the headline and had one thought: A shift from “ANTI-Trump” to “PRO-Biden” is invigorating, not “Burn-outting.”

I know all the valid reservations about Biden… but those reservations are exactly why he needs a grassroots movement of the wind at his back. We need to cheer this weary but capable champion over the marathon finish line. And being visibly PRO-Biden is the best way to articulate and achieve Dem goals of Reproductive Freedom, Tackling the Climate Crisis and advancing LGBTQ rights. We can’t get there by being “squishy-squirmy” about our leader.

I made a New Year’s resolution to wear a Biden Shirt on every Grocery Run. I want to help fellow Florida Dems feel “not alone.” But the benefit boomerangs back to me like a BOGO deal that doubles the value of my effort.

I’m happy to report that after 15 trips to the Florida Publix, Trader Joe’s and Fresh Market, I haven’t received a single unpleasant response. That feels like a win.

My latest Substack lists my three favorite Biden T-shirt links. And… they took some effort to find.

(Google “Biden T-shirt” and 99% are anti-Biden.)

Of course I’m anti-Trump. But I’m quite about it. No need to “fight ire with ire.”

Recover from your Burnout by “volunteering” as a Biden Billboard and get your grocery shopping done at the same time.

Hey Shawn, I love your multi-purpose approach to errands and activism. I used to go grocery shopping with a yard sign. I'd stick it in my cart. I also biked to and from work and all over town with a yard sign on my bike. Occasionally I would get friendly honks. It was the best. Since I live on a dead end street, I'd also park my bike with the yard sign at the busy intersection at the corner. I gave that yard sign a lot of mileage.

Now THAT is impressive. I like your style. It's inspiring to get a friendly honk, isn't it? Just brainstorming here... have you ever thought of buying a telescoping golfball retriever pole so you could hoist your yard sign up even higher? I only suggest that since your activism is already dialed up to ELEVEN.

I had not thought of buying a telescoping golfball retriever pole, but I have a birthday coming up and a couple friends who are handy who might be able to help me get the attachment set up well. I do have a difficult descent into the basement for bike storage, so not sure how that part would work ....

Excellent response to another disappointing piece from the NYT. I don't have a subscription which I would have canceled long ago had I been paying for this MSM disappointment. My Indivisible group has been writing postcards since 2017 and we can't/won't be silenced. Tired - yes. Burned out - NO! Shared your reply on Spoutible...join me there. www.spoutible.com.

Thanks for sharing and for your indomitable spirit. Would you consider re-posting the article Up and Down the Ballot? I think this article is so important and it hasn't gotten quite as many views or comments as other articles. Maybe it will inspire someone in your group to run for office. Thanks so much!

Not sure what you mean by up and down the ballot...

By Up and Down the Ballot, I meant an article published on the Grassroots Connector substack recently. If you have ways to share/repost/amplify this, I'd be so appreciative!
