#1 Tell me again, because I think you just said you pooped in the swimming pool but it wasn't your fault.

My favorite expression isn’t even here. Watch the clip when Trump talks about immigrants eating dogs. She laughs and laughs. How long we’ve waited to see someone laugh at him. Then she looks as if she feels sorry for anyone who would believe this. What was she thinking? “I just won the election!”

BTW, made my comment before reading Lithwick’s article. As a 74 yo woman who was taught to show no emotion or expression in a man’s world, I was SO hopeful to see that we might have moved beyond this in Kamala. Her expressions were both dignified and priceless, what I would hope I could confine myself to when opposite the buffoon she had to mock debate with. Trust me, at this age and stage I definitely have a glare and a stare, and my husband and grandson will attest, a ‘look to kill’. But I also laugh, guffaw, bray, snort, smile, gasp, sigh, grimace, and probably a thousand other expressions I can’t define but others can. I used to have a facade and when I dropped it, there is no mistaking what I’m thinking. I love seeing other women free to express themselves and I applaud Kamala for the few priceless facial expressions she shared with the world. It was beautiful.

#1 a Mom pose if I’ve ever seen one. In an adult, has to be “what would your mother be thinking right now?” Translation, “you’re in SO much trouble young man.”

Personally, I find this little exercise insulting. Dahlia Lithwick covered things pretty well in her article, especially her 3rd and last paragraphs. 'Nuff said. Too bad Slate had to jump in the muck. Wait... it was The Grassroots Connector who came up with this idea to put thoughts in Kamala's mind? Good grief. Still letting T set the agenda by drawing attention away from Lithwick's very pertinent point about mysogyny. Whoever came up with this, please give it some thought, 'cause I think you missed the first time around.

Hi Annie,

I hear you. If we all weren't talking about body language, would we, could we be talking about childcare policy or a system for paying people for caregiving? I wonder if we'll circle back to talking about the immigration bill Harris has promised to sign (and find ways to revise some of its strictest measures to be more in line with a policy that takes asylum seriously).

But I think there is time in the day for all that too. The difficult conversations can happen post election. And in the meantime, I hope we all find ways to foster a spirit of playfulness, which supports our joyful candidate.

I like the point in your profile that says prefers chocolate to booze.
